They married in CO and had 10 children.

Zwirn, Charles, Farmer, PO Yuma, 1886, Born Illinois 1882, married Mary E Meier, six children.(found in 1922 directory).

William A Zwirn married Hazel M Spelts.

DEATH OF MRS. ZWIRN

The sad news was received here this week of the death of Mrs. Jacob Zwirn at her home in Bloomington, Illinois on February 22, after an illness of five weeks with influenza of the bowels.

Mrs. Zwirn was born in Germany December 9, 1860, and moved to America when only four years old. She was married to Jacob Zwirn and moved to Colorado, where they resided until two years ago when they returned to Illinois.

(P.S. Michelle - Drop me a note directly at: lzion@plains.net. So we can discuss what you already know and don't know and need to find out. I tried to send you one but MSM bounced it back.)

Michelle,

I am a granddaughter of William Arthur Zwirn and Hazel Mae Spelts.

I would love to swap information with you. I have just really gotten into the genealogy and have quite a bit of information on the Zwirn side and gaining more on the Spelts side.

Thanks,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,
I too have been doing research on the Zwirn family from Germany and would like to share what I have. I do have some letters and photos that Charlie sent to my father, Henry Zwirn of Chicago, IL.

I also have photos of Minnie and Jacob's headstone when I went to the cemetery in Bloomington, IL. I am trying to restart my genealogy researh and hope to hear from you.
My e-mail is:godfrey17637@comcast.net.

Regards, Beverleyjoan Zwirn-Godfrey
