I'm looking for information on this couple, and it seems that I am only able to find their marriage date in the Colorado Vital Records (on film). This occurred on 24 Sept 1934, in Rio Grande Colorado.

If anyone has any information on their descendants, or ancestry, please let me know. Thank you!

The only real information that I have is one of their son's. His name is Danny (Daniel) Montano. I've found other sons, but I still have to verify the research, so I'll leave them out. I don't have much more information than the names, so thus, I am at a loss.

I am actually Danny's grandson, and I've wanted to go to Monte Vista to see him, but I've been forbidden by family to do so. I am of age, and I would like to know more about my grandfather.

Thanks so much for your help, Dale.

It's brought alot of happiness to my heart.

Jason,
Pedro Montano's sister was my grandmother's brother. I have done their genealogy to their grandmother who was a full-blooded Navajo who was raised by the Montano family of New Mexico. We may never know much about the Native American side of the family as the grandmother, Maria Antonia was just a child when when I find her in the New Mexico census when she was already living with the Montanos. I do have a picture of Pedro's father, Presentacion Montano.
Eduvigen Velasquez was my grandfather's daughter from his first marriage. Unfortuately, I have not located any information on her mother's side. However, I have located the Velasquez (Velasco) family up to about 1674 in Durango,Mejico. The Velaco's are in the book, Origins of New Mexico Families by Angelico Chavez.

Feel free to E-Mail me when ever you please.

I'm sorry for the massive delay. I know practically nothing about this family. Was Maria Antonia adopted by the Montano family? Could you send me a gedcom file with the family in it?

You can send it to js2247@gmail.com
