MRS. SOREN JENSEN FUNERAL IN ARVADA
Funeral services for Mrs. Soren Jensen of 5414 Addison St., Arvada, were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, at the Community Baptist church in Arvada. Interment was at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Jensen, who resided in the Holyoke community for about 20 years, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, at her home following an extended illness. She was 78 years of age.
As Edith Blanche Most, the oldest daughter of Philip and Maggie Most, Mrs. Jensen was born May 20, 1886, at Whiting, Iowa. At an early age she moved to Laurel, Nebraska, with her parents. After completing secondary schooling at Laurel, she attended Wesleyan University at Lincoln, Nebraska, where she majored in music. She later taught music for several years in the Laurel community.
She was united in marriage to Soren Jensen at Laurel on February 10, 1908. Their early married life was spent on a farm near Laurel. They moved to Holyoke in 1928, residing in this community until 1946, then moving to the present home in Arvada.
While living here, Mrs. Jensen was an active member of the Baptist church and several other community organizations. She was a charter member of the Community Baptist church in Arvada and her church associations and affiliations played a vital role in her life. Mrs. Jensen was a longtime member of the WCTU.
Survivors include her husband, Soren; two sons, Philip M. Jensen, Arvada, and Lloyd S. Jensen, Greeley; two daughters, Alberta, Mrs. E.E. Colglazier, Grant, Nebraska, and Wilma, Mrs. Jack Rickard, Arvada; two brothers, Floyd Most Oakdale, California and Forest Most, Vista, California; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
