I am looking for information regarding Anna Matilda NASH, daughter of Hugh NASH and his first wife Mary Jane McKINNEY, born 12 April 1855 in Warren county, Illinois. Anna married William Henry HAMILTON in Warren county on 4 October 1871, and was the mother of 6 children. The couple was last found in the 1910 and 1920 census of Fort Morgan. I believe they are probably buried at Fort Morgan.

Children include:

1 - Jennie, born about 1872 in Illinois, and married George MUEHLBERGER in Iowa. Last found in the 1930 census of Wichita, Kansas.

2 - Olive Blanche, born about September 1874 in Illinois, was second wife of James Benton COULTER. I've read that James is buried at the Fort Morgan cemetery, so can only guess that Olive is also buried there. James' son Heber, from his first marriage, is also said to buried there, although he died in Washington. Children of Olive and James include Arthur J., Everett M., Evelyn M., and an unknown infant.

3 - Charles Le Roy, born 3 March 1878 in Illinois and died November 1965. Last found in the 1930 census of Morgan county, with wife Jessie Irene and children Beatrice, Bernice, Morris, and Madge.

4 - Chase S., born August 1879 in Illinois, and died between the 1900 census, when the family was living in Madison county, Iowa, and the 1910 census, when the family was living in Fort Morgan, Morgan county, Colorado.

5 - Edith NASH, born February 1884 in Illinois, married Harry Finny WETRICH in Madison county, Iowa during 1903. I have no other information at this time.

6 - Robert Claire, born 24 July 1890 in Sunbeam, Mercer county, Illinois. Living at home with his parents during 1910, in Fort Morgan. World War I draft card showed him as a resident of Kit Carson county, but I have no other information.

Anna's sister, Sarah Elizabeth NASH, was born January 1849 in Warren county, Illinois. She married William Henry Harrison BENFORD on 20 June 1867, and died in Denver on 2 March 1923. Their brother John Calvin NASH was born 23 December 1850 in Illinois, married Lydia Anna Eliza WRIGHT, and died in Lincoln county, Colorado on 29 April 1942.

If anyone would have death or burial information concerning Anna, her husband William, or their son Chase, I would appreciate it. I also have a bit of Warren county, Illinois NASH family information to share if anyone is interested. Hugh NASH was my gg-grandfather, and Anna is the only child of his that I am missing information on. Thank you.

I am trying to clean up some of the unanswered queries on the Morgan Colorado board where I found your request from 2007.

I found the following in Tombstone Inscriptions and Burials, Morgan County, Colorado Compiled and published by Platte River Branches Genealogy Society, 1994.

The cemetery book is inclusive of all records from the local mortuary, city and county records, cemetery records and actual sightings of the gravestones. Records are complete up through 31 Dec 1993.

RIVERSIDE CEMETERY, Fort Morgan, Morgan County, Colorado

HAMILTON, Anna M. b. 1855 d. 28 Feb 1930

HAMILTON, Wm. Henry b. 1848 d. 21 Jan 1929 Also inscribed “Father”.

HAMILTON, Chas. S. b. 1879 d. 8 Feb 1905 Sect F Block 1 Lot 34. Plot purchased by W. H. HAMILTON.

HAMILTON, Roy (Charles LeRoy) b. 1878 d. 1966 Sect L Block 2 Lot 189. Plot purchased by Roy HAMILTON. Shares headstone with Jessie HAMILTON. City records give the date of 29 Nov 1965. That could be his date of death with burial not until early 1966 – or the inscription is incorrect.

HAMILTON, Jessie Irene b. 1886 d. 23 Oct 1975 Sect L Block 2 Lot 189. Plot purchased by Roy HAMILTON. Shares headstone with Roy.

HAMILTON, R. Claire b. 1890 d. 17 Sep 1955 Sect M Block 5 Lot 3. Shares headstone with V. Blanche HAMILTON.

HAMILTON, V. Blanche b. 1893 d. 28 Feb 1984 Sect M Block 5 Lot 3. Shares headstone with R. Claire HAMILTON.

I could not find any local information on BENFORD, NASH or WRIGHT.

You also mentioned COULTER in your query and I located the following which I'll be posting also on the COULTER board in response to a couple of open queries on that board.

RIVERSIDE CEMETERY, Fort Morgan, Morgan County, Colorado

COULTER, Everett M b. 28 Jan 1909 d. 28 Nov 1932 Sect L Block 1 Lot 140. Purchased by J.B. COULTER. Shares headstone with Heber N. COULTER

COULTER, Heber Nelson b. 21 Aug 1898 d. 2 Oct 1951 Sect L Block 1 Lot 140. Purchased by J.B. COULTER. Shares headstone with Heber N. COULTER. Additional inscription: PVT STU ARMY TNG WWI PA (Private, Student in ARMY Training during World War I from Pennsylvania).

COULTER, Olive B. b. 1874 d. 15 Dec 1951 Sect L Block 1 Lot 140. Purchased by J.B. COULTER. Shares headstone with Olive B. COULTER.
