Theda,
This message may be old news to you since this original message was in 1999, but here is what I have on EMMA
TERRELL and WILLIAM GEORGE WARREN. First of all, my grandmother's brother LEWIS A. GOVREAU was married to MARY EDNA WARREN. Mary's mother (everyone in the family called her Edna) was EMMA
TERRELL WARREN. William and Emma Warren had the following children: DAISY C., GEORGE WILLIAM, JESSIE E., CLARA A., RALPH, RUTH A., R. EARL,
GEORGIE E. and MARY EDNA. If you look on the website for
Rio Blanco County,
Colorado you will find an article taken from a book called: "Progressive Men of Western
Colorado", published in 1905 that has a biography of William G. Warren. In this article is mentioned his parents, his wife and his children. Also, I found the William G. Warren family listed on the 1920
Rio Blanco County Federal Census, 143-01a.gif, lines 28-35, Precinct #5,
Coal Creek area.
As I mentioned previously, Edna married my grandmother's brother, Lewis A. Govreau, and they had two children: LAWRENCE (named after Lewis's brother who died from an accidental gunshot in 1919), and LORENA ANN. Lewis and Edna had a large ranch in
Meeker,
Colorado for a number of years and eventually moved to
California. I have been trying to find the whereabouts of Lewis, Edna and Lawrence for a while but I have not been successful. Lorena Ann married a man named Ross and she died in 1986 in
Palm Springs,
California, but was interred in
York County,
Nebraska. Lorena's grandmother, Emma W. Terrell Warren was born in 1868 in Nemilia County,
Nebraska but was raised in
Missouri and she married William George Warren 29 Sept., 1886 according to the biography mentioned above.
I hope this information is useful to you.
