I'm not related to Chapman's or Conarty's but thought the following might be helpful in your search. On the 23 May 1891 Flora Chapman (res: Greene) married John W. Conarty (res: Greene) in Greene, Greene, MO. The 1895 KS state census taken in Vermillion, Marshall, KS has John Conarty(age 23-b.IL); Florence M. (age 26 b.MO); Edny (age 2 b.KS)and EVERETT (6 mo b.KS). The 1900 KS census taken in Belle Plaine, Norton, KS has John Conarty 28 (Sept 1871 in IL) mar.for 9 yrs farmer; Flora 31 (Dec 1868 in IL) mar. for 9 yrs, 2 children/2 living; Edna 7 (Sept 1892 in KS) and Evert 5 (Sept 1894 in KS). The 1910 KS census taken in Rock Branch, Norton, KS has John W. Conarty 38-IL 2nd mar.; Florence A. (note:middle name starts with A.) 20 1st mar., 1 child/1 living; Patrick H. 2. Note: this appears to not be Flora as there is also a 1910 KS census taken in Norton, Norton, KS that has George Hibbs 31-IL 1st mar (head of household); FLORA M. HIBBS 41 IL 2nd mar 2 children/2 living. In this same household is George Hibbs step-children: Edna CONARTY 17 KS and EVERT CONARTY 15 KS.
The 1915 KS census taken in Norton, Norton, KS has Flora CONARTY 46-IL and EVERD CONARTY 20-KS. (Everd is a barber). The WWI draft registration shows that on 5 June 1917 Everett Walter Conarty 22 b.6 Sept 1894 and residence of Barrett, Thomas, KS was working as barber in Colby, KS. At the time of this draft registration he was married. His first military enlistment was dated 29 Mar 1918. It appears he went back into the military on 1 June 1919. I found a marriage for Everett Conarty to MARY Ellen BOLING that took place on 16 June 1915 in Norton co., KS. The 1920 census taken in Colby, Thomas, KS has Everst W. Conarty 24-KS fa-IL-mo-MO living as a roomer, married and works in Barber Shop. By the 1925 State Census taken in Smith, Thomas, Kansas E.W. Conarty 30-KS is a barber (came from CO to KS) and has a wife L. 24 (which is most likely Lillian). Possibly she was born in NE (hard to read). By the 1930 Census in Flagler, Kit Carson, CO Everett W. Conarty 35 (1895-KS) mar at 20yrs of age barber in barber shop, fa-born in KS and mo-born in MO and Lillian F. 29-IA born Abt 1901 married at 20 yrs of age fa-born in IN and mo-born in IL. She is working as a marceller in the barber shop and no children are listed. The record on findagrave shows the following: Everett Walter Conarty PFC US ARMY WW1 B: 26 Sept 1894 D: 21 Oct 1956 Service start date 29 Mar 1919. Interment Date: 30 Oct 1956 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Denver, CO in plot: sect D Site 7 (Findagrave Memorial #36049709. Misc. information: Everett might have had a son by name of Donald Conarty who was born 1 April 1915 by his first wife-Mary Ellen Boling (b.20 Feb 1899). She might have married William S. Custer after Everett but I did not find a document to confirm who Donald's father was. Donald appears to have married Martha Femming who was born 1 Dec 1916 in Densmore, Kansas. Donald Conarty dies in Guam. It appears they might have had two children who possibly could be alive. Good luck in your searching..
