I think I know how Blanche wound up here - homesteading was in full swing in Kiowa County, starting about 1908 and getting very active about 1910 when the law changed to allow a half-section of land to be homesteaded instead of a quarter section.
What were her brothers' names? I have a homestead news note that Steven Miles left for Missouri (issue of October 2, 1908) after making a five year proof on a quarter section of land near Sheridan Lake - also Orville M. Miles filed a notice for publication that he was going to prove up on a quarter section of land - five year proof - in October, 1912. One of the witnesses he planned to use happened to be Kiowa Albright, who was a brother of W.H. Albright.
Homesteading was a family affair in those days - they could come on the train, and many women came to homestead, especially if their brothers came, too.
I'll try to include both those when I send material to you.
