I know they lived in Colorado, but I have heard that they come from New Mexico, or have family members who went to New Mexico.
Miguel Gallegos and Catalina Rodriquez are my GrGrGrandparents, they lived and had 8 to 9 children in the Las Animas & Huerferno Cty, Colorado area in the 1880's. I am looking for information on them. Any help would be greatly useful. The following is information I already have, anything will be of use to me.
Ma. Adelaide b:abt 1876, Delfina b:1883, Paublita b:1889, Palcida b:pos. 1895, Augusta b:unknown, and Possibly a Cianita (might have been a cousin, but was raised as there own).
I descend from Paublita, she married Jose Oclides Lopez 2/17/1920 (but they had children as early as 1915).Paublita and Oclides had 8 children who live in CA, Co, NM with 130 descendents including me. She also had an older son, by a gentleman who was to have been killed in WWI. The name is unknown, and Miguel and Catalina raised him.
Delfina married Joseph Ward around 1899 they had at least 8 children. Including: Julia:1902, Catherine:1904, Anna:1906, Ernesto:1910, Nora:1912,(twins)Viola & Victoria:1915, and Noah:1917 , Nora married a Baca, they had at least 1 daughter named Tina. I know Delfina has descendents in AZ.(LDS Records were sealed there, and I can not access them).
Palcida married a gentleman named Joe ? he passed away, and she never remarried or had children to our knowledge.
The Boys: Mousis who went by Moses B: 1878, possibly the following boys also: Nago, Armenio(Elmer).
I am also looking for a book entitled "Territorial Daughters" which gave a brief history of the early Spanish settlers.
