i am sorry -- it is not an obit, but a death notice only.
on tues 11 jul 1967 it states "mr. alfred carter, phoenix, ariz., passed away monday at a local hospital. arrangements later."
the next day, wed the 12th, it shows that "services and interment for mr. carter will be at phoenix, ariz."
is this correct?

Ah, it could be. We orignally heard he was in AZ, but then it looked like he was in Colorado. It looks as though he fell ill or had an accident in Colorado. I'll head off to the Phoenix Obits and see if I can find him there. Thank you for all your help!
