Hi!
Sadly (and VERY DISAPPOINTINGLY) a few years ago, Colorado decided that the ability to search for marriage and divorce records online, and with ease, contributed too much to identity theft. So, while this type of inquiry used to be easily answered within a few minutes, today - it's not that easy.

However, most Colorado marriage records are kept by the Clerk and Recorder in each county and Colorado Springs is in El Paso County. El Paso County only has marriage records entered in their online search for 05/01/1991 to current but a phone call to their office at 719-520-6208 might be the most helpful. I haven't had much success with this office by phone as I have in person but if the record you're looking for exists - they hold the keys to the room it's in! If you run into difficulty by phone, I would be more than willing to go to that office and search for the record/s by fiche and film for you.

ALSO!! The Colorado State Archives office has these records that may be helpful:
Id Name Record Type County Date
372653 CARSON, MINNIE Court Case El Paso 1910
363396 Benton, Mayme L Court Case El Paso 1917
133811 Benton, Mayme L. Divorce El Paso 1917-Dec-7

From this link (http://accipiter.state.co.us/archive/publicrecordsearch.do) you can email the state archivist for an estimate on the cost to reproduce these records for you. This office is also VERY helpful by phone at 303-866-2358.

Best Wishes,
