I have been so thrilled to find these emails about the Cripple Creek Co. miners. My husband's grandfather was Perry Monroe Smith, he mined and homesteaded , he married Violet Walters. She died at 28 after moving to Arkansas in 1914 and having four children. Family stories say her family owned a boarding house, Cripple Creek or Elkton. Think she could have been a nurse at Sister's Hospital, post cards addressed to her there. From old post cards we know she was close to a Anna Moule's family. She had two brothers around this time in Salt Lake City, Uath, Nichalos and Allen Walters. She had a sister Mrs. Harry (Margaret) Bobay that died there. We can not find grandmother Violet's parents, can't even go back one generation, even with all this information. Can you please help in anyway. Pam
