I am looking for information on a Francis W Tupper.

The Francis Tupper I seek fought in the Civil War, 1st Alabama Cavalry, Union.

I have found a Francis W Tupper listed in Fairmount Cemetery. The DOB on the stone is correct, but I do not have a date of death, nor any other family information to compare to.

The death date on the stone is 1899. His burial date was 12-13-1899.

I don't know how far obit records would go for that area.

Does anyone have any information that might be of help to me?
