Fr, Garcia was a Catholic priest who was instarmental in building the Catholic school and church in San Luis, Colorado.
He was the Parish priest from about 1900 until 1920, when he was transfered to Trinidad.
His parents were Estevan de la Cruz Garcia and Manulita Sanchez, both were buried at the cemetery at San Luiss.
Fr. Garcia was well known throughout the Southern Colorado area and he lived until he was 103. He was buried in the San Luis Catholic cemetery. While the parish priest at San Luis he also was involved in the third order of St Frances.
