My grandfather, Oliver Benjamin Fry, the great grandson of Nancy Tinsley (married to Woodson Gale Easley), homesteaded in Cheyenne County, Colorado in the early 1900s. What is noteworthy is that he did so two townships away from his 3rd cousin's (3rd times removed) homestead, Dewitt Clinton Tinsley. I wondered if they knew they were related or even knew one another (or Dewitt's descendants). I realize this is a longshot, but I'd be interested if any of the Tinsley kin with Cheyenne County connections have any info along these lines. I ask because in many cases people migrated to areas already pioneered by their relatives knowing they had kin that could help them get established. Please respond to this post if you have any info.
