Ella I Apel Bacher, 95 of Wheat Ridge died Aug 30. She was born in Westminster on Dec 12, 103. She married Arthur Apel and Ignatz Bacher...Published Denver Rocky Mtn News on Sep 3, 1999.

Do you have more information on the Apel and Bacher families. My husband, John Robert Bacher, is the grandson of Ignatz John Bacher and Elsie Apel Bacher(#1 spouse) and knew Ella (Olson) Apel Bacher until he was about 12 and moved away (1958). We are starting genealogical research to trace the Bachers bak to Oberlienz Austria and to learn what we can about the Apels.

Ignatz and Ella ran a farm in Wheat Ridge Colorao. Most of the colorado relatives still live here. A park at 45th & Vance St, in Wheat Ridge is named after them. Joseph and Helena Bacher (deceased)had 3 children - Jeanette Francis (Nosler)(deceased) Betty (Snowdon) (deceased) and Ramona (Wuetig). Ramona is still living and has run quite a bit of geneology on the Bacher's and Apels. Jeanette had 3 children - Michael- Katherine - David. Betty had 5 children -William - Craig - Marlene- Jeff and Mark (deceased) Ramona has 3 children (Gary - Gail and Robin) there are multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren around. There are multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren of Mabel and Ignatz Bacher in Wheat ridge

Thanks so much for this feedback. John was back in Wheat Ridge in February visiting his stepmother and father's grave, and we do hae many photos of the park and the grave markers. The only Bachers that John Bacher (my husband, grandson of Ignatz and son of Ernest and Evangeline)is still in contact with are his stepmother, Ernest's second wife Iva, and his cousin Dan. We have some family history in a book that was put together by maybe Ramona (?). We are leaving for Europe next week and plan to be in Oberlienz, Tirol for 4 days. That is where the first Ignatz came from and where many, many Bachers still live.
