I am looking for any information I can find on a Greenwood Bruce who died in Hangtown, CA abt. 1849. I have not been able to locate Hangtown and am assuming that it is either a ghost town or has been absorbed into another city. If someone could atleast help me find Hangtown, then I would atleast know what county to look in. Greenwoud Bruce was married to Selestine Mehala Hickle. They moved to CA some time between 1836 and 1849.
