I am not sure were to begin. I am searching for an uncle his name: Samuel Giordano or Jordan, the family changed the name to Jordan in 1942, in NJ, but I find no record of his name being changed. He was born about 1920, in NJ, but moved to california about 1940/2. I am told that he married a woman named Barbara on July 4, 1943; and that he passed away in 2009. I know he had 2 children a boy and a girl, but for the life of me I can't remember their names. First I was told he lived in Santa Barbara now Im told he was living in Palo Alto, but I really don't know. I am relying on the memories of an 88 year old uncle. Is there anyone out there that can make any suggestions of where I can start looking on line. I am in NJ, so going to California archives is not possible. Any address', websites, or any suggesions of where and how to search in California would be appreicated. Thanks. Mary-Ann
