Surnames: Milco, Sagin, Senginko, Szegenyko, Saginko
I have been researching the Milco family to find out about John Milco who is the brother to G.N. Milco. (Very happy to find his first name in this message board-thanks!)I have run across the follwing info in the last few days. Would appreciate any information on John Milco b Jan 1832 in Dalmacia, Austria. John married in 1870 to Anna/Annie ? b May 1850 in Austria. I am related through their daughter Anna Wilhemina Milco b either December 24, 1879 or Dec 25, 1880. Anna Wilhelmina married November 14, 1898 to John Saginko/Sagin. Especially looking for information on John Sagin/Saginko. Per death certificate John died in a mill accident having a crushed chest-accident-caught between steam crane and cars. Occupation was a laborer. Age 47 years 19 days Also shows birthplace as Austria. Marriage consent shows name spelled John Senginko and b Aug 18, 1872
Census supports dob as 1873 and 1874 Office of the Register of Wills in the County of Allegheny (Pa. ) shows name spelled Szegenyko Death certificate shows name spelled Saginko and b Oct 7,1873

PERSONAL – Mr. Nicola MILCO, an old resident of this city, returned to San Francisco a few days since on the Golden City and reached Stockton yesterday after an absence of nearly 2 years, during which time he has traveled extensively in EUROPE, and visited his home in Dalmatia, on the eastern shore of the Adriatic. His return is a source of gratification to his numerous friends and acquaintances in this city.

COPARTNERSHIP DISSOLVED -- The business copartnership heretofore existing between MILCO & BERBORA, proprietors of the Variety Emporium and fruit store, Independent Block, corner of El Dorado and Levee streets, was dissolved by mutual consent yesterday, Mr. MILCO purchasing Mr. BERBORA?s interest in the concern. The latter retires from active business on account of ill health. For the future, the business will be conducted by G.N. MILCO in his own named.

MILCO being desirous to visit EUROPE to improve the health of himself and family, has sold all his interest in the establishment to his late partner, John MILCO, who continues to carry on the business as heretofore at their old and popular stand on Main street, east of and adjoining Holden?s drug store. PETTY THEFT -- Ricardo ACOSTA, tried before Justice BROWN and convicted on 2 charges of petty larceny, was sentenced yesterday to imprisonment for 3 months in the 1 case and 60 days for the other offense. He stole articles from MILCO?s store on Main street and was caught in the act.

INTERESTING Trial -- G.N. MILCO was tried by jury before Justice BROWN yesterday on a charge of having violated the Sunday law by keeping his place of business on Main street open last Sunday. This being the first case of the kind tried in the city, it attracted considerable attention. The prosecution was very ably conducted by Mr. PILLSBURY, District Attorney, and the defense by Judge TERRY and Mr. McKINNE. The jury consisted of the following named gentlemen: Geo. CHASE, J.K. DOAK, John H. FIELDS, B. WATROUSE, Moses MARKS, E.W. EMERY, A. GALL, Wm. SHINE, A.G. AINSWORTH, John MENGES, John BARKER, Samuel ELDRIDGE. The case was given to the jury about 9 o?clock p.m., which had not agreed on a verdict at 12.
