My grandfather, born in Merced, Merced Co.is Lester Grant Dunlap(b:1887), s/o Jackson Hamilton Dunlap(b:1841 OH.)and Elizabeth J. Senger(b:1846). Jackson H. must have been doing okay to have purchased land for cash from Gov.( I found BLM postings). What I am interested in is any information beyond the "dates and places" kind of info. This might include court docs. or write-ups in hist. references or county histories. Is the home he had still standing or the farm still operational? Any help getting started is appreciated.
