The only John W.Owen I could find was a John W.Owens B:1831,in Ill. D: 12-20-1867 Weaverville.Ca. Wife names different. Is this any relation? You might try Shasta County,Ca. Shasta County Library, they have a website. I don't know what it is. Trinity Center is far northern Trinity County and back then I think most of their info went to Shasta County.
