he was single in 1940 census living with sister Athelene Barton 33 b Texas and married sister Monica or Monnie Elizabeth Samuels 43 b Texas widow and her family, sps Green B Samuels (he died 1936, Monnie in 1982)
Monnie death cert says her father was Samuel Lusk and mother Etna Gatewood

OH...I have it wrong ...Athelene Barton is Roy's wife according to a on line tree and Monnie is her sister on second look as census does say brother in law to head, who is Monnie
