Hello,I need some guidence please. I think I have pinpointed the final resting place of my Great Uncle, Melvin B. Haley, Sr.The information that I have come across states that he died 2 AUG 1937 in Modesto and is buried in Modesto Citizens Cemetery. Does this mean that the county buried him. If so, would there be some sort of notice in a local Modesto newspaper? Would there have been a mortuary or funeral home involved or would he have just 'passed through' the county coronor's office?Would there be a death certificate for this individual? The CA vital records for deaths that is currently online only goes back to 1940. If there is a death certificate, could someone pleasedo a look up at a local library and find the certificate number for me? Any help will be appreciated.
