The Bedegrew connection is interesting! Ellen Thacker (1840-1937)married William Allard, born about 1830 in Missouri. The first record of William Allard that I have found is in the 1850 census, which lists William Allard, age 20 and John Allard, age 22, in the household of Hesekiah (age 34) and Jane Bedwell (age 22) of Wayne County, Missouri. The Allard men both were blacksmiths, as was Hesekiah. Are these connected with your Daniel Allard?

I didn't find any Prewetts in my database with first names starting in "P" -- good luck on your brick wall!

I find it interesting of the Allard/Prewett connection. My Elizabeth Bedegrew that married P.P or P.R. Prewett was the granddaughter of Hannah Allard Bedegrew (daughter of Daniel Allard). Many of the Bedegrews migrated to the Sacramento/San Benito/Tulare areas of California. P.P./P.R. Prewett is still my genealogy brick wall!

The Samuel Prewett you found in the 1870 census was the son of Joseph Prewett (1826-1850) and Martha "Patsy" Baker (1825-1891). Joseph was the brother of James W. Prewett of Sonoma; their parents were Esau Prewett and Elizabeth Brooks. Samuel was born 26 October 1846 in Clay County, Missouri and died 12 June 1927 in California. He traveled with his parents overland from Missouri to Oregon in 1847, when he was six months old. Joseph died in 1850, on the trail to California. Samuel and his mother and his younger brother, Jesse, settled at Georgetown, California, where his uncles James (1808-1882) and Samuel (1815-1898)Prewett operated a general merchandise store. Samuelthe younger married Ellen Thacker Allard 10 June 1868 in Sonoma. They eventually settled in San Benito County, where their descendants still live. If you need more information let me know. If you have information on the Esau Prewett-Elizabeth Brooks line, I'd be very interested.

I just ran across your posting.

I am searching for Tellefsen and Holmdahl surnames.

I hope that you might have discoverd some of the information that you were looking for and could share what you learned.

The dates that you listed sure make your Iver/Aase likely the relatives that I am also researching.

I found Farrah in the 19010 and 1910 census. She is listed both times with a sister Ruby. In 1900 they are listed as daughters of WG and Wille Cunningham [b.TX] in Santa Paula, CA and in 1910 they are listed as grandchildren of Loftin and Martha Elizabeth Chappell in Polk Co. MO. I also traced William and Jemima Cunningham from 1850-1880 and looked around a bit regarding Raymond Neal. Please email me directly at jocelynnknight@mchsi.com and I will send you all my findings.

William and Jemima Cunningham took a wagon train to CA in 1874. Farrah Cunningham was born in Polk county, Mo. 1897. I found her on the 1920 census as Farrah Blood, living with daughter Juniata Blood and Farrah's aunt Lee Methven in Kansas City,Mo She may have some connection to William and Jemima as they also lived in Polk county along with many relatives. Farrah was my grandfather's daughter and I would love to find out what happened to her.
I believe my greatgrandfather was raised by Willaim Cunningham and Farrah may have gone West to be with be with his kin living there in 1920's Thanks for your time.

The Stella Sprague I am looking for is the daughter of Charles Oscar Mason. Stella Mason was born in Montana on Sept 21 1889 and was living in Santa Rosa California. This info appeared in an article on her family that appeares in "Echoing Footsteps, a Powder River County, MT history book", on page 18. Charles Oscar Mason was born on March 20, 1850 in Franklin, Venango, Pennsylvania. I believe that he is the son of William Mason and Juliet Webber of Pennsylvania and Iowa. I also beliive that my great grandfather William Webber Mason is their son. I found a family tree for this family that lists a son Oscar and a son William. I have also seen another tree that lists a son Charles, but no Oscar. Also William Webber Mason's 4 th child is my grandfather Charles Oscar Mason(born 1876). I know it's a long shot, but I will pursue this line and see where it leads. Cal Mason

I did some online research and found quite of bit for the Maloney and Page families in the census and various CA databases. I believe Leo's parents were George Edgar Maloney and Olivia/Libbie M. Page. Leo's brothers were Earl, Ralph and George and he had a sister Lois. It also appears that his parents divorced and then both of them remarried so there are half brothers and sisters on either side. Please email me directly at jocelynnknight@mchsi.com and I'll send you my findings.

Charlotte lived in my neighborhood in Vallejo sometime between 1960-1963. I believe she attended Hogan High School, but she may have attended Vallejo Sr. High School. (Hogan became a Sr. High School sometime in the 60's). I would look for her in the class of 1964 - 1966, which would put her birth date 1946 - 1948. She was definitely born before 1950. I am a little younger, and she is not in any of my yearbooks.

Press Democrat, The (Santa Rosa, CA) - May 1, 2008
Deceased Name: NOTEMAN , Marie Irene
Entered into her final rest on April 23, 2008 after a short illness. Loving mother of Bill Noteman and his wife, Nancy Noteman Devoto, of Santa Rosa. Beloved grandmother of Fawna Noteman Pintor and her husband Nathan, and Lukus Noteman. Marie leaves behind her aunt, Dolly Gendreau and many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends throughout northern California. Born December 24, 1920 and raised in San Francisco to Nicholas and Mary Louise Veronin, Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Felix Noteman and by her son Robert Noteman. She raised and showed champion Weimaraner dogs and continued her life long love of animals to the end. Her faithful dog Willow was her constant companion. Marie was active in Veterans of Foreign Wars, Northern CA Weimaraner Club, and was a bookkeeper in her husband's construction business for over 25 years. She was a friend of Bill Wilson for 37 years. She helped many understand the true meaning of living "One day at a time".

At Marie's request no services were to be held but rather her wish was for you to enjoy a sunrise remembering loved ones. Private cremation was held at the Neptune Society. Contributions in her memory may be made to Canine Companions or to the Sonoma County Humane Society.
===========================
From my file:

SS Death Index: MARIE IRENE NOTEMAN 24 Dec 1920 23 Apr 2008 (P) 95409 (Santa Rosa, Sonoma, CA) (none specified) 556-16-8153 California

Spouse: Felix R.
In addition there is a Samuel A Pruitt listed as a son of James W Rewett. I can't find him in the 1870 census or any others in Ca. The Prewett name is often spelled Pruitt. I think is the merging of all the cursive e's and w's and i's.

I did find a Samuel A Prewett Sonoma Co. census age 34 post office Healdsburg. Single Is that the one you are looking for?

Helen Vassar great great great grand daughter of James W Prewett
