hi - just became curious browsing the internet and doing old stuff too. therefore: my grangrandmmother was a tersilla filippini too. born 1852 and her parents giov.gius.filippini and mother caterina dotta.
my mother died last year and was beffa her mother dotta-her parents tonella,filippini etc.
these were all (some remain to be) originated from madrano - airolo (we call this fraction) airolo is a very little township and loosing contin. population.
nevertheless was nice talking to you - by the way: do you know about carlo and giovanni filippini (came to the us around 1900?) , then aged 20-30? all i know.
