Looking for any information on the Chabot Terrace public housing complex that was built circa 1943 in Solano County. At the time it was the fourth largest public housing complex in the United States with 3,000 units. It was built to provide housing for WWII war workers.
I lived there between 1949 and 1953 and went to Olympic Elementary School, near three-tank hill (at least that's what we kids called it). By then, the place was turning into a low-rent slum.
Any info will be appreciated.
