Hello Tom,
Would the cemetery you mentioned have a marker for Byron Lowe there? His wife, Rebecca Lowe, and son joined other family in the Austin, Nevada silver rush in 1863, and she was always listed a widow in Nevada thereafter. We have never found a trace of him since, so he may have died in Whiskey Diggings.
It would be interesting to know of his wherabaouts.
Also, is there a name to this cemetery?
