Obit lookup for William Ward Lewis

Looking for an Obit on a William Ward Lewis died October 1894 in Shasta County. Unknown exact day. His wife was Anna Crawford, and they had seven boys together. I realize this is a task due to not having the exact day. If someone could tell me where to find the information I am willing to do the lookup myself if online.

I am also tracing Ben Humphrey of Shasta Co., CA. I have just received his death certificate.
Ben (NMN) Humphrey, died December 3, 1972 (NOT 1973) at his own home in Cottonwood, Shasta, CA. Wife Rosalyn F. Plyler.
Father Brent Humphrey born KY, mother Florence Avery, Born KY. cause of death carcinoma of Pancreas. Happy to e-mail you a copy of the certificate if you want it.

Do you have further information on his parents Brent and Florence Avery Humphrey? I am just beginning to trace them.

Pioneer of Shasta Passes on Saturday --
Mrs. Ann Crawford LEWIS, 89 years old, passed on Saturday morning at the home of her son, Bert LEWIS, at Stillwater. Altho a long time resident of Shasta county, she had been the guest of a son in Westwood for several years before returning to the LEWIS ranch on Stillwater about 2 weeks ago.

Mrs. LEWIS was born in St. Louis, Mo., March 4, 1847. She had resided in California the last 60 years, her husband, the late William LEWIS, devoting his time to ranching in Shasta county.

Seven sons survive the pioneer: Joseph W. LEWIS and Alfred LEWIS of Sequim, Wash., Roy and Homer LEWIS of Bend, Or., Harry LEWIS of Stockton, Charles LEWIS of Westwood and Bert LEWIS of Stillwater. There are 15 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are not complete. McDonalad & Scott are in charge.

Funeral Is Held For Mrs. LEWIS --
Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Crawford LEWIS, nonagenarian pioneer of Shasta county, were attended Tuesday afternoon by her host of friends from all sections of the county. The chancel at the chapel of McDonald & Scott was banked high with floral tributes.

Rev. Thomas B.W. Allen, pastor of the Redding Presbyterian Church, read the service and interment was made in the family plot in Redding cemetery.

6 grandsons of the widely known and highly respected woman acted as pallbearers. They were Frank Albert, Charles, Douglas and Dudley LEWIS and Wesley AXTELL.

Sorry about that. She was born 1847. I have her death certificate from Shasta County. She died 3/15/36, and was in possession of the corner until 3/21/36. She died at a ranch home in Churn Creek. The death certificate has her name as Ann Crawford Lewis. Her maiden name is Crawford, married name is Lewis. Per the death certificate her death date is 3/21/1936. Buried in Redding Cemetery.

HOWARD STEDMAN -- Mount Shasta -- Funeral services for Howard Chester STEDMAN of McCloud will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel.

STEDMAN, a retired U.S. Plywood employe, died Friday at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. He was 73.

He was born Oct. 14, 1903, in Franklin, S.D., and lived in Siskiyou County 36 years. STEDMAN was a dry kiln worker for U.S. Plywood for 27 years.

He leaves his wife, Annette of McCloud; 2 daughters, Joyce IACONIS of McCloud and Melba MARTIN of New Jersey; a brother, Stanley of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Audrey STANLEY of Clark, S.D.; and a cousin, Merle DOKE of Faith, S.D.

The Rev. Erhard RUPP of the First Lutheran Church of Dunsmuir will officiate at the services, followed by burial in Mount Shasta Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Van Fund, c/o Evelyn Thomas of McCloud.

I have a family member whose last name is Spears, but i dont think that her name is Geraldine, her name is Jackie Spears, and her husbands name is Jim Spears, my last name is Cozo. Jackie and Jim Spears are my Dad's mom's sister and her brother in law.

I live in Redding Ca, and there are alot of Kruzes buried at the LawnCrest Chapel where i live and my grandfather is buried there. My grandfather was beaten by an 18 year old who my father did not know, but he remembered his mom and a family friend took him and his siblings out of town and had nothing to do with the murder until couple days or year later, i can't remember, but all I know that there is the LawnCrest Chapel off of Cypress Ave that has the last name of Kruzes.
