Can you check your dates -- born 11 years *after* death?? And there appears to be no Anna Crawford who died on 15 March 1936 in California. I'll be happy to do a an obit, with the correct death date & place.

Sorry about that. She was born 1847. I have her death certificate from Shasta County. She died 3/15/36, and was in possession of the corner until 3/21/36. She died at a ranch home in Churn Creek. The death certificate has her name as Ann Crawford Lewis. Her maiden name is Crawford, married name is Lewis. Per the death certificate her death date is 3/21/1936. Buried in Redding Cemetery.

That is her. Thank you so much. I see a lot of information to follow up. I wish their was more about her husband. He is the one I am stuck with, and at a dead end.
Was this newspaper article. If so I would like to get a copy, and I am willing to pay for your time, and mailing of it.

Sorry, I can't do a copy.

Have you searched Janie Edwards' Shasta county resources site? I found a voter's reg for:

LEWIS William Taggart
(age as of reg date, below) 36
(BP) IN
(occ)farmer
(res) American Ranch (near present day Anderson, I think)
(reg date) 24 Apr 1867

Do you think this is your guy? Here's the url for Janie's site:
