Thank you once again for the help. I forgot to mention that my grandmother also had one sister and one brother also in two other orphanages. Her sister was at:Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum and her brother was at St Vincent Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum of San Francisco for boys in San Rafael. All three of these children I found in the 1910 census and were the youngest children of my gr grandparents.

I oral family history told to me was that their mother and another child were killed in the earthquake, and that their father couldn't handle his wife's death and put these three children in the orphanages. That is why I am seeking this information on WHO admitted them. I find it a bit strange a parent would give up his children when there were older siblings that could have cared for them along with the fact they were all Catholics. Hopefully with your direction on where to look, I'll find out whether my gr grandfather was also killed, I have never found any thread of information about him after the quake.
