Seeking help about the date and circumstances of death death and burial of relative, Elsie Ellis (nee Fouke), born 31 Aug. 1892, daughter of Richard Reynolds Fouke and Annie Christine Bertelsen-Fouke of Bodie, Mono Co., CA.

Elsie was raised by her widower father and then became estranged from or lost contact with him in later life. The following newspaper article describes her father's belated attempt to locate her whereabouts, only too discover Elsie was deceased about 28 October, 1923 in San Francisco, CA.

"REALTY MAN ASKETO FIND MISSING GIRL - John T. Read, the realty man received a message yesterday from R. R. Fouke, residing at 2241 San Jose Avenue, Alameda, California, asking him to try and locate his daughter, Elsie Fouke Ellis who was suppoesed to be in Reno. Read got busy and finally learned that the Ellis woman was dead and that he[r] body was in a morgue in San Francisco. He notified the father accordingly."
