Suspect Info: One shot and killed, two arrested

Officer O'Connell was shot and killed when three suspect wearing masks tried to rob a saloon he was a patron on. The suspect entered with masks on announced a robbery. Officer O'Connell opened fire, killing one suspect. In the exchange of fire Officer O'Connell was struck. He died two hours later at the hospital. The two other suspects escaped, but were later arrested.

George's name is carved in marble in the wall at the San Francisco Hall of Justice. His family proudly remembers
his service to the Citizens of San Francisco.
