Sacramento Bee is supposed good source for
pre-earthquake notice of San Francisco Births.

There is a wonderful source book published
by the California Genealogical Society for
those researching pre-1906 Great Fire and
Earthquake San Francisco. Author is Kathy
Beals. She lists many alternative sources
for records genealogists regularly use but
were destroyed in the Great Fire.
