My G-Uncle, Joseph (Joe) POPLAWSKI b. 17 March 1888 in Galicia/Poland, d. 19 March 1964 at Patton State Hospital in Patton, San Bernardino, CA. His last residence was at Highland and he was buried in Colton at the Hermosa Cemetery from the Kok & DeJong Funeral Home. He died from lung cancer which had metastisized to the brain.

Where or what is Patton? I can't find it on any map. Is the Patton State Hospital still in existance? State hospitals were usually mental institutions. Was this one? Is the Hermosa Cemetery still in existance? Does it have an office that I can contact? Does the Kok & Dejong Funeral Home still exist?

I have his death certificate but it leaves more questions than answers. Any bit of information would be greatly appreciated.
