Searching for info about my father's natural father Robert Metsker Pittman. He was born in 1910's and lived in Sacramento and was married to my grandmother, Geneva Felton. They had 3 children: Richard Eugene, born 3/3/1939, Gail Jean, William Robert, and were divorced in 1947. Geneva remarried, and the children were legally adopted by their step-father, and moved to Fresno, California in 1948. Information from other sources possibly relate Harry Pittman and Claudia Belle Metzger (from Indiana)as Robert's parents, but I haven't been able to confirm this. My father remembers visiting his paternal grandparents and possibly an aunt in Sacramento, but can't remember their names. Can anyone look up birth, marriage, and death records for me to confirm Robert's birthdate, place of birth, and possibly his parents? A 1940 census might have Robert and Geneva with some of this info in it. Thanks!!!
