I checked the five issues of the Orange County Register newspaper, after each of the dates of death you posted, but there were no obituaries for anybody named Buis.

I checked the five issues of the Orange County Register newspaper after the date of death for Margaret. There were obits in each issue, but none for anybody named Helems.

I did likewise for William, but those digital newspapers did not contain any obituaries.

I also did just a search for the name Helems, in every issue that is available online, which goes as far back as January 1, 1987. There were no hits for Helems.

Starting with the day after the date of death you posted, I looked through the next five daily issues of the Orange County Register newspaper that are online. I can access that through the OCPL website. There were some obituaries every day, but none for anybody named Hurt.

I have online access to old issues of the Orange County Register newspaper, through the Orange County Public Library website. I have seen old OCR issues that have had a heading of something like Orange County Deaths, which would then list that day's obituaries.

But I checked the three issues after the date of death you posted, and there was no such heading, and no obituaries at all. Obituaries are the only thing I ever want to find among old newspapers. Who cares about some 20 year old feature stories? I just want the occasional obituary. Sorry.

In the meantime, I found a wedding announcement for the daughter of Thomas Ellis and Betty Curlett. Interesting, the announcement states that Betty is from Acapulco, Mexico.

Haven't found an obit for Betty just yet. But, I did find an obituary in Orange county for A Randall Lee Ellis, who Mother was Betty Curlett.

I'm 21 years old, and 3rd generation Orange County. My parents were born here, my fathers mother born in the city of orange, named Jesse Palomino, and my fathers, father born in Santa Barbra, named Silvino Lopez. my fathers grandparents on his fathers side were born in Durango, Mexico. And Jalisco, Mexico on his mothers side. My father is 76. He was born in 1936. My mother was born here, as well as her mother, named Bertha Falcon. my great grandmother on my moms side was born in Sicily. i believe my grandfather on my mothers side was also born here? his name is Lawrence Mendez. I am just so curious to know where I came from because I do not look exactly Mexican......everyday of my life people ask me my ethnicity. And most of the time I get Native American......just recently I met a man, and he told me "I don't think you're Indian, I know you are" he mentioned something of "Charqkuare" but I know the spelling is wrong, as I have not found anything online about it.....I'd really love to claim my rights, because my calling in life is to make natural medicine. Hi - Fred Vivian Pilling was born in Rochdale in 1874, one of seven. He originally went to the States with his brother John Frank. He married Daisy Maud Ladd in Dorchester, Massachussetts on 22nd December, 1894. Her parents were George V Ladd and Charlotte Hines. I have Violet Pilling as having been born in Boston, Massachussetts on 1st December, 1896. Daisy Pilling died of pulmonary consumption on 5th April, 1897 in Haverhill, Middlesex County, Massachussetts. I have no information about Violet other than her birth. He returned to England and married Beatrice in Southport in 1898. They moved to Carlisle (I am not sure when) where he had a Dental Practice at 9 Lonsdale Street with his brother John Percy, and this is the practice my grandfather took over. My great grandmother's name was Mary Ann (known to some as Polly) and she was married to Charles Edward Brown. They lived in Southport. I have pictures of Fred Pilling, and probably Beatrice too, but as yet I have not identified her in any. Hope this helps.

Hi - I'm afraid I don't know much about Beatrice Wilson Pilling (nee Sykes) but Dr. Fred Pilling who was a Dentist, was my great grandmother's brother. I actually have some piano music with her name on it as my grandfather, also called Fred (Pilling Brown) took over his uncle's dental practice in Carlisle in 1920, where there was a piano, probably when they emigrated to the USA. I did not know where they went, but California would be right as I have some china with a California shop name on the bottom which he probably sent my great grandmother as a gift. If there is anything else you need to know please contact me, but I am afraid I don't know much about Beatrice except she was born in Huddersfield. She was Fred Pilling's second wife, his first wife was Daisy M Ladd whom he married in Massachussetts in the 1890s - they had a daughter Violet whom I have been unable to find any records of.
