Hoping to find an Obit of family member Betty Lawrence, b Aug 29,, 1929, d June 18, 2002 in Huntington Beach, Orange Co., CA. Any help appreciated! Thank you.

I looked through every obituary in the Orange County Register between June 19 and June 23, 2002, and there was not one for anybody with the last name of Lawrence.

Thanks so much for your time & effort in searching for an obit of my long-lost cousin Betty Lawrence! I was informed by the librarian at the Santa Ana Library that it could have been published in the local community edition of the newspaper, which they do not have on microfilm.
Do you know if there is a library in Huntington Beach that have their newspapers on microfilm?

There is a very large library in Huntington Beach, but I don't know if they have either microfilmed or paper copies of old issues of newspapers. You could call or email them.

Betty's maiden name was Tessier. She married Norman Lawrence in 1955 CA., divorced in 1967. Lost contact with her after she married. Was told she had a child and did not remarry.

Julia, Sorry there is no Marriage, Divorced or birth on Ancestry.com for the state of ca.or Nevada.For Tessier/Lawrence. That I could find.

I also could not find a record of their marriage online in the California Marriage Index, prior to 1960. Although, the California Divorce Index, 1966 - 1984 on Ancestry.com does list their names, Norman D. Lawrence and Betty A. Tessier as having been married in year 1955 and divorced in San Mateo, CA., Nov 1967.

Yes in Vital Search for CA Marriages it shows Betty Tessier and Norman Lawrence married Mar 3 1955 in Monterey Co., CA
