Searching for death record for Adin William(s) last in census in 1880 in Santa Ana CA (then LA County) living in household of son Adin, age 26, farmer and son Alexis, age 30.

The senior Adin was born in 1810 in NY to Simeon Williams and Tirzah Knight (?) and raised in Indiana. In the 1860 census he was a 51 year old widower living in Iowa, Cedar County, Iowa Twp, with daughters Amanda and Mary and son Dyer.

I have requested death certificates with the 1880-1890 range from both Orange and LA counties with no results (but LA county was insistent that Santa Ana is in Orange County, even though I explained that in 1880 it was in LA county.
