Actually when I located Elizabeth's dads grave, I found out he had deeds to 4 graves on this plot, the other 3 were his daughters ,all three of them and one is hers at

this really nice man there gave me all the info on them , and another even took photos of the 4 graves for me,but all the info is what I have here, no family, also before she was married to a Johansen she was married to a Scharpegge , have you ever heard that name in the area before?? I was hoping to locate the funeral home to see if they had family info , maybe children from one of those marriages?? Then I was told that it had gone out of business a long time ago. So now my best hope is to locate her obituary , her dads obit turned up in the Anaheim Bulletin, perhaps hers is in one of those local papers.
Interestingly, I did locate a relative, a descendent of one of the sons, Dr Lovell L Goodwin dentist, they know nothing at all, in fact I gave them my info, they told me the family never talked about any one else from earlier generations.They had no idea about any of these people. They had no idea who Charles A Goodwin was ( the dad of Dr Lovell L Goodwin) had only heard the name Lovell and knew who he was.My goal is to locate the gravesite of Rev Henry B. Goodwin, Charles A. Goodwins dad. He dissappeared in or around Louisa , Kentucky sometime between 1847 and 1860. I have combed the state of Kentucky and not one of Henry Goodwins wifes family have found either grave, Henry or his wife Jane Billups. Thanks for any help or info, I really would appreciate it.

Charles is indeed buried in our cemetery. He is in the North East Magnolia Section Plot # 133 Grave # 1. He was interred on April 7, 1926. Mary Francis Richardson is also buried in the same section but in grave # 4. She was interred on January 7, 1949

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock for Charles A. Goodwin, 87, veteran of the Civil War, who died here yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Scharpegge. The services will be conducted from the Motell Undertaking parlors, Long Beach.
Mr. Goodwin was a native of Louisa, Ky., coming to California in 1906. In 1911 he purchased an orange grove on East street, Anaheim, and has lived there for the past 13 years.
The deceased served in Company I, Fifth Regiment, North Virginia Infantry, during the Civil War.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Willam Payne and Mrs. Scharpegge of Anaheim, and Dr. Mollie F. Richardson of Los Angeles; also by three sons, Dr. J. H. Goodwin and A. G. Goodwin of Los Angeles and John H. Goodwin of Anaheim.

Rose Payne, 60, died at the Rose Bowl parade 1/1/1946, of route 1, Orange California. She suffered a heart attack and died before she reached the Pasadena hospital.
