Hi thanks for the info, this is very possibly him, I have copies of some of the info in the Topeka ,Ks city directories, and in the 1912 Topeka city directory there is listed
Lovell L Goodwin (Goodwin brothers) rms 607 Kansas av
and Vinnie M Goodwin ,student,b 607 Kansas ave

then in the 1916 Topeka city directory

the only Goodwin left in the directory
Vincent M. Goodwin ( Hazel) b. Dr. G. J. Mulvane

Charles A Goodwin is in the 1905 Topeka directory but not the 1907 one so he must have left for Calif after 1905 and I found out his wife Elizabeth J Vermillion Goodwin died in Topeka in 1902, so he must have gone with his children, now the puzzle would be the daughter Elizabeth you mention.,??? One of Charles A Goodwin's sons was AG Goodwin I have a death announcement from the Topeka paper saying he died in LA at the home of his sister Mollie. well on the census there is no Mollie and no Elizabeth, the girls are
Mary F , Rose and Lallie and in one of those city directories there is a Lallie, and a Mary. I dont think Vincent is his son, unless there is a son not in the census for 1900 in Topeka???
But he was living with one of Charles sons, Lovell, for a while? and it is possible that Vinnie( Vincent ) is the son Of Lovell L Goodwin, Charles son??thanks for all of the info mary

The 1920 census lists Elizabeth and a sister living together but no Charles.

Did he have a son named Vincent M. Goodwin? Vincent is listed in the 1920 CA census as living in Anaheim, Orange Co. I didnot find Charles in the 1920 Census. Maybe Charles was convalescing near his son, Vincent?
