I am researching the James Gallagher family. James married Lucinda Cota in Grass Valley. (Lucinda's mother Marie Philomena Morrissc or Morrisette and father Narcisse (Nelson) Cota came from New Hampshier in 1862 to Nevada County. They divorced in Nevada County in 1868) James and Lucinda had 5 children named Mamie, Peter, Josephine, Adelle, and Emily(died at early age). The oldest four children were born in Nevada County and were raised in the Catholic Orphanage in the the late 1890's after Lucinda died in Gold Flat when she was 33. Peter went to war and was never heard from again. James Gallagher had an Uncle Peter who also died in Nevada County. He had an Uncle Frank, Aunt Ann and name unknown father who all suposedly came from New Jersey. Would love to here from cousins/relatives. Lucind had a sister Josephine and brother Napoleon
