Thank you so much for all of this research! I suspected she had died in Nevada County and now I even have a date of death.

The name spelling difference has occurred all along. My mother and aunt tried to find descendents of Katrine in the 1970's and they were looking for Ditlevsens. They never had any success but the internet made it so easy to find the family.

I am in Southern California and I'm familiar with Truckee and the general area. One of these days I will get back up there and go visit what remains of Boca. It is interesting that it took 16 years before probate.
