Private family services for Claire J. Paine of Grass Valley will be conducted.
Mrs. Paine died Thursday, Feb. 5, in Grass Valley. She was 87.
She was born Oct. 30, 1916, in Sacramento, to Charles and Halcyon Young. She enjoyed traveling and reading.
She is survived by her son, Steven of Chicago; sons and daughters-in-law Brian and Alda of Galt, and Stuart and Sandy of Reno, Nev.; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Shanon and Roger Layala of Las Vegas, Nev.; granddaughters Tiffany Paine of Reno, Nev., Alicia Paine of Los Angeles, and Denelle and Suzanne Paine of Galt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Paine.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary
