Hi
Found following at URL:

using California and Harrigan as search criteria. Appears to be a fit name/Grass Valley locale/alive 1900-wife widow 1910.
Bean’s 1867 also has a John Harrigan and Geo. Little in Forest Springs. John could be brother mentioned in newspaper extract.
Found some other Harrigan hits but did not check them all out.
Did not try Little because suspect hits would be too numerous to even think about checking. You might want to do so depending how much time you have. If you do, be sure you note which ones you’ve checked, because the extracts are being updated continuously.
Also checked Nevada County cemetery page and found no Little’s that fit . Two Harrigans; Robert 1892-1968 and Francis 1896-1920 are possibles. If James below is your James, would think he would have been buried there, especially if wife stayed in area. Could be Catholic Church has more info. Another possibility is the Foley Library in Grass Valley. May be a fee involved unless you can find a local to do the look-up (I’m in Colorado).

FUNERAL OF JAMES Harrigan TO-DAY
GRASS VALLEY (Nevada Co.), May 26 - The funeral of James Harrigan, who died at an early hour yesterday morning, will take place this afternoon from St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where services are to be held.
Two weeks ago Mr. Harrigan was found lying by the roadside between this city and Forest Springs, his home. He had been to town, and when he did not return home at the hour expected a search was instituted for him by his family, with the above result. He continued to sink until his death.
Mr. Harrigan was a highly esteemed pioneer, and leaves a wife and nine children to mourn his death. A brother and sister, Mrs. F.L. FALLOU, and San Francisco, also survive him.
