Clifford Earl Boronda

Clifford Earl Boronda, 70, of Cave Junction died Thursday Sept 29, 2011 at his home. A memorial service will be held Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at Illinois Valley Funeral Directors. A gathering will follow. Boronda was born July 11, 1941, in Oakland , Calif. In 1959 he graduated from Hayward High School in Hayward, Calif. On April 10, 1965, in Reno, Nev., he married Charlotte Castro, who survives. He worked for General Motors for several years and then for the county in Sheridan, Wyo., for eight years.
He worked for the city of Fremont, Calif., in the city park maintenance for 20 years until his retirement in 2002. Nine years ago, he moved to Grants Pass from Fremont.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, The Sheep Foundation, The Elks Foundation, Tri-City Angelers and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and visiting Seven Feathers. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Roger Bohn of Englewood, Colo., David Bohn of Medford and Michael Boronda of Grants Pass; a sister Marlene Brooks of Chico, Calif.; a brother Ken Boronda of Sandy, Utah; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
