FOMA would be a good place.
Fort Ord Museum and Archive
FOMA Mission
For almost the entire span of the twentieth century, Fort Ord was one of the largest and most significant U.S. Army installations in the United States. Fort Ord itself and its formative influence on the U.S. military and on the life and communities of California's Central Coast have passed into history. It is a valuable history filled with many lessons to be preserved for current and future generations. As a joint project of California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and the Fort Ord Alumni Association (FOAA), FOMA seeks to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of Fort Ord, the community, and the people who served and worked on the base. FOMA will promote the study of military properties and the impact of the base on the economic and social development of surrounding communities. It will serve as a learning and research resource for students and faculty at CSUMB, military and regional history scholars, veterans, and the general public.
