On Monday evening Undertaker Eden received notice of the death of WILLIAM J. KETLER, a prominent and well-to-do resident of Larkspur after an illness of only a few days with pneumonia. He was a native of St. Louis, and 52 years of age, had been a resident of California for several years, and in the early eighties accumulated considerable in the mining regions of Calaveras County, and later inherited valuable property from his uncle, J.C. Beidman. He leaves a widow and 5 children.

The funeral services were conducted from St. Raphael's church Wednesday afternoon.
