Overloaded With Gin.
Last evening Edwin Jones, who had more than his share of China gin aboard, fell from the sidewalk to the gutter at Seventh and X streets, landing on the back of his head. One of the small arteries was ruptured, but was subsequently taken up at the Receiving Hospital by Dr. Ogden. Jones is an old-liner, and was only recently released from the County Jail, where he served a term for petty thieving.
