Found a couple of articles on an Edwin Jones, but since there is no middle initial or ages - not sure if it could be the same person (but could explain inability to locate):

There is a vacancy in tbe home of Edwin Jones of 936 McAllister street, until recently a partner in the plumbing firm of Jones & Bailey, doing business at the same address, downstairs. The busband and father for several days has* been missing, and a deserted wife in destitute circumstances
is having photographs, to which is attachached a description of her truant busband, sent broadcast over the country in an endeavor to locate his whereaoouts.

A pretty 16-year-old niece of a Mrs. Taylor, Sadie Taylor, who for time past has been making her home at tbe Jones resilience, has also disappeared, and Mrs. Jones has coupled the simultaneous disapearance in the realization that she lias been deserted.

At the time of his disappearance Jones was possessed of tbe amount of money he got from the sale ot his interest in the plumbing business to bis partner, He owns two lots in the Western Addition which Mr. Jones will make an effort to secure for herself and family if she is unable to locate her missing husband.
