Bertha L. Tolleson of Pamona, Calif., was born May 6, 1877, in Switzerland, and died April 23, 1973, at Hillcrest Homes in LaVerne [Los Angeles County], Calif.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Lead Belt, Flat River [St.Francois County, MO], and the Order of Eastern Star in Leadwood.

Mrs. Tolleson was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Schifferly and Lina (Grisel) Schifferly, and her husband, Thomas Tolleson.

Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Gladys) Kirkland of St. Louis, and Adel Hutchings of California; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., April 27, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel, Bonne Terre, with Rev. Willard Spencer officiating. Interment was at Bonne Terre Cemetery under the direction of C. Z. Boyer & Son, Bonne Terre
