Nathaniel Ryan Emery was born in Greene county Indiana the son of Nathaniel William Emery and Emma Ryan.

of his father I was told: "Nat" Went to a military college in Danville, Va. and was in the National Guard WWI - - Was an amnesia victim of war it is said. He left his family and disappeared for right at 7 years; Emma had sought legally to declared him dead about 1925 when he suddenly returned and took his son and declared her unfit to raise him - - she had became a beautician in order to support herself and son Nathaniel C. Nathaniel was the son of Jonas Aden Emery and Emma N. Gainey. He had siblings Ambrose Robert Emery, Jessie May Emery married Aurthur Winton Brown, and an infant born & died 1891. Been Searching for members of this family since 1976 - this and other data on Ambrose and Jesse has come to light this past week.
